The Liana Case Study
Liana was the home of Tami’s late sister, and the project became the experience that ultimately inspired Coastal Journey Home. After her sister’s unexpected passing, Tami took on the responsibility of sorting, organizing, preparing the property for sale, and navigating the many practical decisions that come with settling a loved one’s home.
The Before
The home held years of belongings, memories, and decisions that needed to be carefully worked through. Tami approached the process one space at a time—sorting, organizing, decluttering, and determining what needed to stay, be donated, or be removed.
Beyond preparing the property for sale, the process required balancing practical decisions with the emotional weight of closing a meaningful chapter. Each step was handled thoughtfully, with respect for both the home and the memories connected to it.
The After
Through thoughtful decluttering, organization, and preparation, the home was transformed into a lighter, more functional space while honoring the life and memories it held.
What emerged was more than a home ready for its next chapter. It was a firsthand understanding of how much care, patience, and practical support families need during major life transitions.
